John 10: 27 (NKJV) - My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
Romans 8:14 (NIRV) - Those who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.
Adult Memory Verses
Revelation 2:7 (NIV) - Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.

Hearing the Voice of God - Priscilla Shirer
Arts & Crafts
#1 - Glue cotton balls on a piece of paper in the shape of a sheep. Use a marker to draw legs and a face. Talk about John 10 and how just as sheep know the voice of their shepherd, we know God's voice.
#2 - Create pictures that represent Elijah's experience hearing God in 1 Kings 19 - get creative with mediums: tissue paper for fire, rocks for earthquake, etc.
Bible Readings
Acts 1 - Make notes of all of the different ways God communicates in this chapter
1 Kings 19
John 10
John 12:44-50
Is God ever silent? - Mk 11:11; Ps 75:2; Jn 11:25-26; Is 59:2; Is 8:17; Is 57:11
Ways God speaks in the Bible: Ps 119:105; Ex 3:4; Mt 2; Is 6:1; Rev 1:12-17; Heb 1:1-3; Gen 28:10-19; Gen 15; Ps 34:7; Heb 13:2; Acts 5; Gen 16; Ex 8:20-25; Jer 18:1-10; Heb 4:12; 2 Tim 3:16; Ps 119:11; Rom 15:4; Num 22:21-35; Lk 19:40; Ex 3:2-5; Ex 28:30; Is 30:21; Jn 21:17; 1 Cor 12; Ps 37:4; Acts 10; Lk 14:28; Rom 10:8; Jud 6:36; 1 Cor 14; Rom 2:12; Ps 46:10; Ps 8:2; Acts 5:36; Is 30:30
Prayer Points
#1 - Pray for a sensitivity to the Holy Spirit and to hear God's voice clearly.
Service Project
#1 - As a family, spend a few days praying about what God would have you do to serve this month. Then discuss what each of you feel He's saying and discuss how we determine His will. (Does it align with scripture? Is it consistent with His character? Do we have confirmation from wise people that it's a good idea?) Now do it!
Games & Activities
#1 - Modified Simon Says - Blindfold your child(ren) and have two "Simons." Tell the child to listen and follow only one voice. For example, "Do everything Dad tells you to do, but ignore Mom's instructions." After playing, talk with them about how they knew the difference between the two voices - through experience listening to each of them. This is how we know and recognize God's voice - because we are familiar with Him through His Word.
